Dr. Daryl L. Kerr
Dr. Daryl L. Kerr
Dr. Daryl L. Kerr serves as a Faculty Associate for Graduate Teaching in the Reynolds Center for
Graduate Life and Learning. He is a former professor and Associate Dean for Undergraduate
Programs in the Belk College of Business. Dr. Kerr is originally from Charlotte, North Carolina.
He is also an alumnus of UNC Charlotte, graduating with a B.A. in Business Administration and
Religious Studies. Following graduation, he attended UNC Chapel Hill where he earned his
Master’s degree in Speech Communication, and Florida State University for his doctoral degree
in Organizational Communication with a concentration in Marketing and Advertising.
Dr. Kerr has taught for the Belk College of Business at UNC Charlotte for over 40 years. He has
served as Associate Dean for Undergraduate Programs for ten years, Director of the Business
Honors Program, and Director of the First Year Experience in the Belk College. His research
interests include communication in the workplace, career planning, resumes and vitas, the job
search, employment interviewing, and leadership.
