Whether you’re a social scientist sending out a survey, an educational leader evaluating how to improve a curriculum, a software or computer scientist designing an app to improve data visualization, or an engineer exploring how to improve a device, you may need Institutional Review Board (IRB) approval before starting your research. In this workshop, you will hear from UNC Charlotte’s IRB office to learn about the process so that you know what to expect and plan for as an ethical researcher.

This presentation is hosted by Cat Runden. Cat is the IRB Manager at the Office of Research Protections and Integrity (ORPI) – Niner Research IRB. The Office of Research Protections and Integrity (ORPI) provides oversight, education, and support for integrity and compliance issues related to research at UNC Charlotte. Our staff promotes ethical and high-quality research by partnering with faculty, staff, and students in the navigation of the evolving regulatory environment.

This workshop is eligible for the Niner Career Challenge!
