Doctorate in Chemistry and Nanoscale Science

What are your areas of interest in graduate life?
Equality and diversity comes first from my point of view. Being a Ph.D. student I always try to help graduate students according their concerns and needs i.e. housing, campus navigation, encouragement to join social and cultural engagement, networking with fellow students, time management guidance, research conferences, sometimes miscellaneous scholarships and fundings, other research related questions if it fits in with my field/area of interest etc. As I can speak different languages that certainly helps in connecting with a diverse range of student groups.

Are you involved in any other campus organizations/Groups?
I am currently a student officer of Association of Nanoscience Graduate Students (ANGS, Dept. of Chemistry). At the same time I am an active member of EKUSH – Bangladeshi Student Organization and highly engaged in volunteer work for the last few years.

What is your favorite thing to do in Charlotte?
I love to explore Charlotte, especially uptown and NODA. I am a really fun loving person. I enjoy spending time with friends and making new connections with people.

Where were you before moving to Charlotte?

I am originally from Bangladesh, I lived in South Korea for 4 years before moving to Charlotte.

Say hi next time you see Naz!
