Bambi Kialanda is a first-generation graduate student originally from Luanda, Angola. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Health Systems Management with a minor in Public Health from UNC Charlotte, where she completed her undergraduate degree in 2022. Currently, she is a Master of Public Health candidate with a concentration in Health Policy.
Bambi’s life experiences instilled in her a profound appreciation for resilience, hard work, and the pursuit of education as a means to break the glass ceiling. As a graduate student aspiring to enter the professional realm of public health, she draws from her family’s journey and experiences to fuel her determination. This background serves as a constant reminder of the importance of addressing healthcare disparities and working towards equitable access to quality care, both as a personal goal and as a means of giving back to communities facing similar challenges.
Bambi enjoys nature, exploring new cuisines, and traveling in her free time. She loves learning about different cultures and her hobbies reflect her love for adventure, learning, and connecting with others.
