Open Access 101 Workshop (cancelled)

Event Date:
October 21, 2019 – 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM

Location:
Center for Graduate Life-Cone 268

As part of International Open Access Week (October 21-27), our friends Jeff McAdams and Elizabeth Siler of Atkins Library are visiting the CGL to discuss Open Access publishing, a topic that should be of particular interest to anyone publishing their work in scholarly journals or submitting a dissertation or thesis. Jeff, an Engineering Subject Librarian, and Liz, a Collection Development Librarian, will be able to answer questions about Atkins Library’s new Niner Commons online repository, where all dissertations and theses (among other materials) are housed. In addition to their general publishing insight, Jeff and Liz are passionate about equitable access to knowledge and are working to inspire wider participation in helping to make Open Access a new norm in scholarship and research.
