Graduate students who apply for teaching jobs at the college or university level may be asked to submit a teaching philosophy as part of their application.

Please join Dr. Judith Krauss, Faculty Associate for Graduate Teaching, in this workshop. Dr. Krauss will offer concrete guidelines for writing a teaching philosophy, such as defining personal beliefs about teaching and linking them to classroom best practices. These guidelines are designed to address many of the requirements sought by teaching institutions.
