The word “infographic” has experienced a meteoric rise in popularity over the last decade, largely due to the use of this medium in the classroom, for workplace presentations and written reports, and for branded and editorial content on the web. Infographics have been around for many years and recently the increase in the number of easy-to-use, free tools have made the creation of infographics available to a larger segment of the population.
Data from a thesis or dissertation, or large amounts of text can be boring especially when used in a presentation, report, or put up on social media where images and photographs are constantly complimenting a status or story. The key is to make your content visually appealing. So, start thinking about incorporating an infographic.
People and organizations don’t have to be professional designers in order to create an infographic. This workshop will give you a crash course on infographics and infographic design to answer all of your questions.
Presenter: Dr. Daryl L. Kerr, Adjunct Professor and former Professor of Management and Business Communication, Belk College of Business
