Mahrukh Maqsood

College of Liberal Arts and Sciences

Mahrukh Maqsood is a graduate student pursuing her master’s in communication studies. Belonging to Lahore, Pakistan which is identified as a “multicultural” and “literary” city, she has a special disposition for sharing her own and learning and understanding new cultures. She is always enthusiastic about guiding new students through their graduate studies and life. She has been a DAAD (Germany) cultural ambassador representing Pakistan, and on the campus, she is the president of Communication Studies Graduate Students Association (CSGSA) and Expanding Your Horizons and advocates for food equity.  Importantly, she is also a huge movie and music person and never shies away from a long talk about either of the two over a good cup of coffee. By the way, Peets café (Atkins Library) is her favorite spot on the campus!
