Well-written abstracts provide readers with key information about the research presented in articles and presentations. Perhaps more importantly, abstracts are what grab the readers’ interest and spur them to read further. If you plan to publish and present, developing the skills for writing strong abstracts is extremely important. This workshop will provide participants with strategies for drafting, revising, and editing abstracts, with a particular focus on crafting abstracts for UNC Charlotte’s Graduate Student Research Symposium, so that writers can approach these tasks with more knowledge and confidence.
