New Graduate Student Virtual Orientation- Fall 2023

Do you have questions about transitioning to grad school, managing your reading load, balancing school and family, finding your way around campus, or anything else? This convenient virtual orientation will include breakout sessions so that everyone can get the information they need as efficiently as possible. After a welcome message from the Graduate School Deans, you’ll also be able to learn more about services offered by the Center for Graduate Life and Learning as well as join a Q&A panel with continuing graduate students.

Breakout rooms (tentatively) include:

  • Grad School Funding- Funding and Fellowships

  • Student Organizations and Extracurricular Involvement- GPSG

  • Academic Questions (including Early Entry)- Graduate Academic Services

  • All the Questions You’re Afraid to Ask- Dr. Aura Young

  • Professional and Academic Development Opportunities- Dr. Jill Huerta

  • Physical Health and Healthy Activities- Ruth Wright and Miguel Wilson

  • Healthcare and Mental Support- with reps from Counseling and Psychological Services and the Center for Wellness Promotion

All registered students will receive the Zoom link via their Charlotte email one day before the event.
