Allison Stadick

PhD Student in Nanoscale Science

Allison is a fifth-year PhD student in the Nanoscale Science Program. In May 2021, she received her bachelor’s degree in chemistry (minor in mathematics) here at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. She enjoys the science program due to her love for material science and applications in nanomedicine. Allison’s work involves the synthesis of a variety of metallic nanoparticles and investigating their efficacy against antibiotic resistant bacteria. She is also the president and founder of the Charlotte Parent Organization, where she aims to help in the success of student parents by raising awareness and advocating for on-campus parents’ resources.

She is excited for the opportunity to be a Graduate Life Fellow and aims to support the CGLL mission.
